Smart Multi-destination Planner
Enter your travel route in natural language. We analyze multi-city itineraries to show whether passes or tickets save you more. Example: “Tokyo 3 days, Kyoto 2 nights, Osaka 1 day for USJ”.
What Smart Plan analyses for you
- City graph: We detect each city or region, group them into logical clusters, and map likely JR and private rail connections.
- Pass combinations: Nationwide JR passes are compared alongside regional passes and point-to-point tickets so you know when to mix and match.
- Timing insights: We flag legs that benefit from seat reservations, overnight stays, or airport transfers that may require additional tickets.
Tips for best results
Outline travel days
Mention travel day counts (e.g., “Kyoto 3 nights”) so the planner can judge pass durations accurately.
Include side trips
List short hops like “Nara day trip” so we can suggest regional add-ons or note when JR doesn’t cover private lines.
Remember flights
Tell us your arrival and departure airports. We surface airport train and limousine bus options when passes don’t cover them.

We refresh routing heuristics when JR timetables shift or new Shinkansen segments launch. Update notes live on the About page.
