Prices and duration

5¥35,000¥17,500
10¥50,000¥25,000

Available for journeys starting March 14, 2026 onward. Eligibility requires a passport issued outside Japan; carry the original passport.

Where it works

Includes JR East services and selected partner lines, with Ordinary reserved seats. Useful routes include Tokyo–Sendai–Aomori and Tokyo–Nagano / Niigata. Check the official coverage map for each stop.

Where you need another ticket

Does not cover the Tokaido Shinkansen, Izu Kyuko or Fujikyu Railway. The Hokkaido Shinkansen beyond Shin-Aomori is outside JR East. Green Car and GranClass require separate charges.

Plan a pass window

Compare all covered journeys inside 5 or 10 consecutive calendar days. Local city travel alone is unlikely to justify this pass. Seat reservations remain necessary on all-reserved trains.

Our planners use stored route and fare estimates. They do not check live timetables, seat availability, disruption notices, date-specific fares or every private-rail supplement. Treat the result as a shortlist, then check your chosen trains with the operator.
