Coverage boundaries

Eligible regional trains include Kyushu Shinkansen services in your pass area. Hakata–Kokura Shinkansen is excluded because it belongs to JR West. Private rail, subways and buses are outside these passes.

Seats and eligibility

Requires a foreign passport and Temporary Visitor status. Northern and Southern passes include up to 6 seat reservations; All Kyushu has unlimited reservations. Online advance seat booking can carry an extra charge.

A practical shortlist

Compare Northern Kyushu for Fukuoka–Nagasaki / Kumamoto trips, or All Kyushu when continuing to Kagoshima. Read the official map before including a sightseeing train.

Our planners use stored route and fare estimates. They do not check live timetables, seat availability, disruption notices, date-specific fares or every private-rail supplement. Treat the result as a shortlist, then check your chosen trains with the operator.
