Use individual tickets or an IC card for local rail travel around Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara. Choose the operator and station that best suit your hotel and destination; city subways and many private lines require separate fares.
Compare the Kansai WIDE Area Pass if you are travelling to Okayama, Kinosaki Onsen or Shirahama. It costs ¥12,000 for 5 consecutive days. A regional pass should earn its cost through actual long journeys.
Check JR West’s current HARUKA ticket offers or regular tickets. An airport ride alone is not a reason to buy a larger regional pass.
